How did you find Hattrick?
I used to work for an advertising company in London and two of the
lads (brothers) had been playing hattrick for a few months, so I
kinda got involved through them. One of the rollthemonkey has since
left not sure why as haven't spoke to them since leaving but he
had one of the best strikers in the world Ian Campbell, and his
brother still manages Hawks athletic who are in div 4. Awesome defence,
but is a prime example as to why defence doesn't pay.
How did you discover the wonders of the THFC Fed?
I created it ,lol.. For more info regarding this subject would be
best to read this -'http://www.spurs-fed.co.uk/fedhistory.html
Why did you become a Spurs supporter?
Good question. Not sure, would be the right answer. Only my brother
and granddad like football in my family, granddad a hammer (lol)
but he east end thru and thru similar to dirty den in fact. My brother
supports 'Team Beckham' so Real at the mo. Just kinda done my own
thing and just randomly chose Spurs, just lucky I spose.
Favourite current Spurs player?
Simon Davies, got it all skill and pace, if we can keep hold of
him and his can relive past form, he will defiantly be a real asset.
Greatest ever Spurs player?
Teddy Sheringham, just a legend. My son's name.
Worst ever Spurs player?
Where do I start, Justin E ?
Greatest Spurs manager?
Gotta be Bill Nic, must have been great times.
What has been the high point and low point of the current Spurs
season for you?
Knocking 4 past the arsenal has gotta be a highlight, but losing
the fixture was a low.
What was the first Spurs match that you saw? (WHL and TV)
Jesus emm, a 0-0 draw against Blackburn I think. On television most
probly something on motd. Or it could have been a everton fa cup
game.
Do you own any Spurs football shirts? What designs?
Loads from when I was younger, new kappa ones don't really go with
my 'look' so the quicker they get rid of them the better !!
Favourite Spurs shirt design?
Adidas Holsten blue away kits from the days of Iversen.
If you could sign any current Premiership player for Spurs who
would it be?
Stevie Gerrard, Amazing midfielder, a leader, a scorer and someone
who gets stuck in. The lads got commitment and drive, plus he'd
go with our policy of home grown lads.
If you could sign any current world player for Spurs then who
would it be?
How about the world's best? Ronaldiniho, been watching a fair bit
of Spanish footie, each week this season before Sunday pub sesh
and he's got it all.
Spurs Tactic - can Defoe and Keane ever play together? Could
4-3-3 ever work for Spurs?
No and no. Ideally both could be kept happy at the side but its
unlikely, one will leave. Defoe can score goals for fun and Keane
the spurs style player, its hard to choose, maybe id choose goals
over style. As for 433 it doesn't work, you need winger in today
game and we have 3 or 4 so play them :
Do you have a job in real life? What is it?
No. I'm a student. I don't do part time work. I'm studying at Anglia
polytechnic University, Chelmsford. I'm a 'mature student' studying
Property and surveying. So I should be making money in a few years
surveying houses and property developing. When im Rich ill make
my film, unless I offer it out sooner.
What did you do with your spare time, before HT?
Had a missus.
Can you tell us about your best and worst day in HT?
There's been many. Beating Pirate FC( no thrashing Pirate FC), Wining
promotion to Div 2, Winning the Fed cup and old London cup. Worst
day? Relegation last season in the 85th minute of the last game
of the season.
What has been the highlight of the Hattrick season for you?
My signings paying off. Last season made a few mistakes with changing
training, but this season I reshaped the squad and it's paid off,
wining the league was a bonus.
Do you have a favourite Hattrick player and why? (That's an
actual player and not manager)
Peter Svanner, hes my main striker (well best) Westerer seems to
score more goals. But he always performs. I paid 3.5m for him years
back he's worth about 2m now. Still remember Ldn saying he was waste
of money as he got sent off on his debut, 70 odd goals later
.
If you had the chance, what one thing would you change in HT?
I'm not sure, I'm happy with how it is. All the changes that come
about are usually wise ones. People will always want more however
many changes are made.
Everyone makes a newbie mistake when they start HT, what was
yours?
When I started hattrick, I didn't rush in to anything which was
pretty lucky, had heard how good the game was so didn't want to
mess anything up on day one. My first 2 signing were a solid pm
and a solid striker, the pm is still in my first team. I had read
all the rules but you can be expect to read everything can you??,
well I started to train I did about 5 weeks defender training and
then similar times for pm and nothing happened, didn't realise it
would take just a few weeks longer. Started to get into hattrick
properly about then and started a decent regime for scoring, but
I did sell a player I had trained on a Thursday and on the Friday
he poped, lol. No major mess up so far thankfully.
What position do you train? Have you always trained the same
position?
As I said earlier I did a few week of defender followed by some
pm and then started a proper scoring scheme. This lasted for about
a season and a bit. This is when I started my Pm training which
lasted right up until now, apart from a few weeks scoring the season
before. I shall be training pm for at least another 2 seasons. It
gets results quicker, always has always will.
Who has been your HT inspiration?
TalfGreen of The Greens, hes a scouser but a decent chap. When I
was in div 2 he won the series and got promoted to the premier league.
But the amazing thing was his team had a weekly wage bill of only
80k, which is a massive achievement in anyone's eyes. They were
relegated this season but manage to survive a season in the prem
with the team. But as an example it shows that it is possible to
get to the prem without daytrading and being silly.
Have you had any rivalries with other Hattrick managers?
Dazman, used to be Chairman of the WHOA has recently left hattrick
altogether. Very good manager. We had a bet on who would get to
the prem first, looks like I might win that bet now.
There's also a team called Sampsons spurs who I had a nice rivalry
for a few season, he called me a day trader (182 transfers in over
3 years does that count lol) He may be a spurs fan but the biggest
tit I've ever met on the net. Obviously I had to thrash him.
Apart from that I would'nt say I've had any real rivalries apart
from friendly ones in series' I spose, not usually round long enuff
thou.
Who is the biggest muppet in the Fed and why?
Does that need answering lol.
Who has been your inspiration or mentor in Hattrick?
No real mentors for me. Id say im 25 % self taught and the rest
from conversations. Which I find the most useful, throughout the
years I spoke with many people about hattrick and u seem to learn
things all the time and all the quirks that you might not necessarily
have known. That's why I encourage the use of our conference for
any ht advice; if there was anyone that gave me some real gems of
advice it would be Edkeung.
Who makes you laugh in the Hattrick world? (either Fed conference
or elsewhere)
Simmons (or should this be everyone else?) for the stick he continually
gets. :
Hattrick Tactic - what did you make of the Fed Cup final? How
would you have played that
match? (MatchID=39669507)
Was an interesting one, looks like both teams underestimated each
other, hence the CA tactics employed by both sides. I think mortenb
was the favourite before hand; he has a pretty decent side. Looking
at the game if Ginola14 had played a normal style and took the possession
he probly would have be slaughtered because of mortenb's tactic
skill.
Favourite joke?
This is my favourite joke, the amount of time I tried telling this
when im drunk, lol.
It was Postman Pat's last day on the job after 35 years of carrying
the post through all kinds of weather to the same neighbourhood.
When he arrived at the first house on his route, he was greeted
by the whole family there, who all hugged and congratulated him
and sent him on his way with a gift cheque for £50. At the
second house they presented him with fine Cuban cigars in an 18-carat
gold box. The folks at the third house handed him a case of 30 year
old Scotch whisky. At the fourth house he was met at the door by
a dumb blonde in her lingerie. She took him by the arm and led him
up the stairs to the bedroom where she blew his mind with the most
passionate love he had ever experienced. When he had had enough
they went downstairs, where the dumb blonde fixed him a giant breakfast:
eggs, tomatoes, bacon, sausage, beans and freshly-squeezed orange
juice. When he was truly satisfied she poured him a cup of steaming
coffee. As she was pouring, he noticed a five pound note sticking
out from under the cup's bottom edge. "All this was just too
wonderful for words," he said, "but what's the fiver for?"
Well," said the dumb blonde," last night, I told my husband
that today would be your last day, and that we should do something
really special for you. I asked him what to give you. He said, "F*ck
him......Give him a fiver." ".......The breakfast was
my idea."
What is your favourite Book?
Book? Books aren't really my thing to be honest, don't even own
any apart from ones for studying with. I do have the Clerks comic
book if that counts, how childish is that lol.
What is your favourite TV show?
This has to be Hollyoaks, its on 5 times a week at a decent time
and is 30 minutes of top totty. Other than that any decent English
comedy the office, partridge, etc
was a bit of a fan of Teacher
as well. I hate American sitcoms, there predictable, unfunny and
boring.
Do you play any other good online games?
Nope I tried a few but none have the addictiveness that Hattrick
has, im happy with hattrick and im not on the look out for anything
else.
Best movie of the year?
It hasn't been yet has it? Can almost guarantee the answer will
be Star wars: Episode 3 without a doubt. The only other film I've
seen this year at the cinema was 'The hitchhikers guide to the galaxy',
which was ok 7/10. I don't go cinema because you get too many idiots
making noise, especially in Southend. Films are my thing but I like
to watch them in the comfort of my own home, where I can pause to
go and have a slash. I've bought at least 80 DVDs since my student
loan came thru in September, it's my hobby. I've even written my
own Surreal-horrific-comedy-gangster film
What was the last album you bought? Good, bad, indifferent?
Kasabian Album was the last new album I bought. It's a very good
album nice to hear top quality rock and roll back in the charts.
Technically the last album i purchased was Oasis' Master plan as
I realised someone had nicked my copy so I went and got another
copy of it this morning. 6 quid was a steal and to think it was
an album of only B-side songs. Crazy.
CRIKEY THAT WAS QUICK LOL
