How did you find Hattrick?
Living with mates at uni and one of them played, pretty soon the
whole house was hooked.
How did you discover the wonders of the THFC Fed?
Teekosey approached me and asked if i would be interested in joining
if he set it up so I thought why not.
Why did you become a Spurs supporter?
I was born in Basildon and been young and having a limited knowledge
of geography, took spurs as my 'local' team. Plus Lineker swung
it a bit
Favourite current Spurs player?
Probably Robbo but there are more now than ever that i really like
Greatest ever Spurs player?
A tricky one seen as ive only seen players from the late 80's on,
but I've heard legendary things of Dave Mackay, from my own eyes
I would have to say Jurgen Kilinsmann (he gets added points for
coming back to help us)
Worst ever Spurs player?
Again going with what I've seen probably Paulo Tramanazzi, granted
he didn't stay long or play much but he was fat and awful.
Greatest Spurs manager?
Have to say Bill Nic really
Worst Spurs manager?
I assume a lot will say Gross, but I am going to have to say Hoddle,
I know he's a spurs legend and all (maybe that's part of the reason
why) but I really thought he screwed us up.
What has been the high point and low point of the current Spurs
season for you?
Low point was probably losing 3-0 to Palace, these are the games
we should be winning and I have a Palace supporting mate.
High point probably the 5-2 against Everton, I really had a bad
feeling about the game and we played out of our skins, it was a
magic day, plus it was New Years, always a good day =D
What was the first Spurs match that you saw? (WHL and TV)
At WHL I have only been once, it hurts to say it, but having a football
hating family and being a student for 23 years doesn't leave much
for a ticket. So my first and only match was the 4-1 mauling of
Sunderland the season they went down. Think Teddy got a landmark
(possibly 200th league goal) that day.
On TV must have been 1989/90 season and it was live on bbc (they
were the days) spurs played derby, think we drew but cannot be sure
What is the most memorable Spurs match you have seen and why?
The battering of Chelsea in the league cup semi, i lived with a
cocky Chelsea fan at the time, it was so sweet no one i knew gave
us a chance
What was the worst Spurs match you have ever seen?
I would have to say losing to Blackburn in that final, i was so
confident we would win, and for Andy Cole to score the winner =(
Do you own any Spurs football shirts? What designs?
Have a classic Hummel/Holsten white one from 1990, then along gap
to the Addidas/Holston from a couple of years back (i was a chubby
kid, football shirts were not my friend )
Favourite Spurs shirt design?
The blue away shirt we had when Klinsmann was here first time around
If you could sign any current Premiership player for Spurs who
would it be?
Probably Rooney (was thinking of Lamps but Rooney's age swings it)
If you could sign any current world player for Spurs then who
would it be?
Fernando Torres (that would be some front line with Rooney)
Spurs Tactic - can Defoe and Keane ever play together? Could
4-3-3 ever work for Spurs?
no I think they are both natural goal scorers and therefore inherently
selfish, i think Kanoute is so important because of this. 4-4-3
could work but not with our current crop of players, so I guess
that's a no then
Do you have a job in real life? What is it?
I travel backwards and forwards to Sweden teaching Swedish students
how to have a good time (ok I don't get paid but that is about the
some of what im doing right now) I'm planning to learn Swedish in
the autumn
What did you do with your spare time, before HT?
I play and watch football and especially cricket. Like to watch
films, usual 23yo guy stuff I guess!
Can you tell us about your best and worst day in HT?
Best the relief of finally winning iv.33 a few weeks back. Worst
losing to Fidemaster in the cup, I was winning with 10 mins to go,
got 3 injuries and ended up losing, very painful
What has been the highlight of the Hattrick season for you?
Again the league title for me!
Do you have a favourite Hattrick player and why? (That's an
actual player and not manager)
Teddy Askins (legendary name) he's not too special now, but there
was a time when he could play anywhere on the pitch and so is my
record appearance holder. Still play him in friendlies to get those
games up!
If you had the chance, what one thing would you change in HT?
They should have had a fairer start, the difference between noobs
and non noobs at the beginning was so immense. But now I guess random
cup draw would be cool
Everyone makes a newbie mistake when they start HT, what was
yours?
MOTS my first too games thinking there would be no penalty, wasn't
a good first season
What position do you train?
Have you always trained the same position? I train defence, I started
a out as a defence trainer, then switched to PM for a couple of
season, but I am planning on training this for the rest of my time.
Who has been your HT inspiration?
Prob Katze666 the best noob I can think off the top of my head
Have you had any rivalries with other Hattrick managers?
In my leagues yes, with Ponderers and Virtua Skin (the teams) but
nothing nasty just friendly banter, plus keep an eye on my supporters.
Who is the biggest Muppet in the Fed and why?
John Simmons for his Charlton affiliation and for being mates with
Coxy (Virtua Skin) To be fair, everyone in it here seems pretty
cool, there's never any heated arguments which is good
Who has been your inspiration or mentor in Hattrick?
Well I learnt a lot of things along with dosan (Kojaks Custard)
plus advice from TK and Ponderers
Who makes you laugh in the Hattrick world? (either Fed conference
or elsewhere)
there's a trio of badbobby, gibbage and someone else the name eludes
me, who think there opinion is always right as they argue more and
nastier than others, I'm sure there nice people, but they make me
laugh
Hattrick Tactic - what did you make of the Fed Cup final? How
would you have played that match? (MatchID=39669507)
Interesting game with two counter attackers, I would say as Titans
attack was so inferior they should have tried boosting the midfield
more, and concentrate on creating more chances rather than relying
on a relatively weak attack against a five man defence
Favourite joke?
Now there's a tricky one, there's a good reason I don't tell jokes
and I'll leave it at that =p
What is your favourite Book?
I'm not a big book person, tend to read journals and newspapers
(I'm coming across like a complete joker I know) But I do like reading
a lot of political stuff, stuff by Marx, Chomski etc
What is your favourite TV show?
Love MOTD and Simpsons
Do you play any other good online games?
pmanager.org is great, also play battrick, sokker (not too much
interest in that though)
Best movie of the year?
Tricky one as I don't think there have been many blinders yet, the
interpreter was ok, want to see hitchhikers too but not got round
to it.
What was the last album you bought?
Good, bad, indifferent? The Wildhearts - The Wildhearts strike back,
great album, rock like it should be
