How did you find Hattrick? A friend in one of my classes at school found it, we all started playing and I've been hooked ever since. Over 4 years ago now.
How much time do you spend on average, per day, on Hattrick? It varies depending on whether it's term time or not at Uni. It can vary from very little to all day.
Where did your Hattrick team name come from? Does it really need explaining.
Any significance for your teams strip? I try to recreate the Spurs strip the best I can using the limited HT options
What is the “weird” thing you do in Hattrick that really doesn’t make any sense? I've been known to sell my squad too often and start again. Definitely further back progress wise than I should be. Training defending was always awkward. Playing 4 and 5 at the back is hard.
What ambitions do you have in the game, how far would you dream of going? I want to win II.4 next season and make a good impression again in the LOW the season after. I want a venture into the Hattrick Masters. Buy a few divines and take Wales a fair ol' way.
How did you discover the wonders of the THFC Fed? I was nagged by some annoying little toerags with nothing better to do with their time.
Why is the THFC Fed your favourite? Who said it was? People are online during the day that I get to annoy. Some of my other Feds are boring when there are fewer people online.
Any suggestions on how the Fed can be improved? Make me the almighty powerful one and we'll take over the world *evil laugh*
What other Feds are you a member of and why? Counter-Attackers where I'm a co-leader since I've played CA for a while now. I know a fair old bit about it so I have power. Flag Chasers Community because I've been abducted by the dark side and collect them (Venezuela tonight). Welsh National Team Fed as I've been U20 and NT manager in my time. I still help out with tactics and ideas. And another random Fed that I have mates in.
Why did you become a Spurs supporter? To be different. In school it was all Man United, Arsenal, Liverpool etc. I wanted to break the mould and picked Spurs. That was 12-13 years ago now. I'm old.
Favourite current Spurs player? Paul Robinson since I play in goal myself when I play football. Not that that's very often now.
Greatest ever Spurs player? Jurgen Klinsmann, I thought he was a legend back in the day. Four goals in the win against Wimbledon. Never could recreate his celebration successfully, always ended up hurting myself.
Worst ever Spurs player? Rebrov. What was the point?
Greatest Spurs manager? Bill Nicholson. Double. No more explanation needed. A true great
Worst Spurs manager? Christian Gross. Doesn't need explaining does it?
What has been the high point and low point of the last Spurs season for you? High point, spending so much time above the Arse. Low point, FA Cup exit.
What was the first Spurs match that you saw? (WHL and TV) Never made it to the Lane. And as for first match on TV, I can't remember. The alcohol kills my brain cells.
What is the most memorable Spurs match you have seen and why? Winning the League Cup
What was the worst Spurs match you have ever seen? I won't forget losing 4-3 to Man city in the FA Cup after we were 3-0 up and they were down to 10 men. That hurt like nothing else EVER. Especially since I joked to someone in the pub after they said the game was in the bag, don't say that, we'll lose 4-3 now.
Do you own any Spurs football shirts? What designs? I've got three home kits, including this season's and an old 3rd kit.
Favourite Spurs shirt design? The current one, even though I need to work on the physique a little bit.
If you could sign any current Premiership player for Spurs who would it be? Thierry Henry, that'd suitably annoy the Arse
If you could sign any current world player for Spurs then who would it be? Ronaldinho. He'd solve the left side of midfield problem
Do you have a job in real life? What is it? Professional Student. In my second year studying Chemical Engineering at Swansea University
What did you do with your spare time, before HT? Computer games. Being a kid.
Can you tell us about your best and worst day in HT? Best day in Hattrick, either winning LOW or getting a draw out of Denmark with a vastly insuperior Welsh NT side. Should probably have stolen the win but there we go. Worst day in Hattrick, I don't know.
What has been the best improvement made to Hattrick and why? The extra tactics that were brought into force. AIM, AOW, CA and Pressing. Allowed midfield dominance not to be so significant
What has been the highlight of the Hattrick season for you? Don't think there has been one this season. Wait for next season, a league title and a damn good go at the cup.
Do you have a favourite Hattrick player and why? (That's an actual player and not manager) Wang King-Yu (4635573), Willy Soares (23858494), Andreas Wanker (23453670), Randy Hooker (37587628) to name but a few.
Who has been you best recent Hattrick signing and why? If recent is a season or two ago. Divine keeper. For £60k a week, he's a bargain.
Do you have any players that don’t really play, but you keep them anyway? why? I've got my namesake, Bryan Clarke. He won't get any games now I've switched to striker training but he'll stay forever and ever.
If you had the chance, what one thing would you change in HT? Probably the way possession is calculated. It shouldnt be straight from midfield rating. If a team got set to have at least 20% or so from the start, and then leave the midfield rating to decide the rest, it'd be a lot more realistic. Where in normal football does a team have no possession?
Everyone makes a newbie mistake when they start HT, what was yours? I can't remember, that was ALONG time ago.
What position do you train? Have you always trained the same position? I've dabbled in defence mainly, but have also tried winger and playmaking in the past. Onto scoring now. 3-4-3 is the new 3-5-2
If you were giving advice to a new Hattrick player now, what would you say? Get a good coach, set up a training regime of young passable players. Get your arena up to a good size as soon as its viable.
Who has been your HT inspiration or mentor? I don't think there is one inspiration. But you've got to look at the domination of Beltxis in Venezuela and Shirayuri Sky in Japan as markers to emulate. Never really had a mentor. I've learned for myself.
Have you had any rivalries with other Hattrick managers? There's been a few along the line in Wales, aside from the private rivalries with friends. Legaleagle who now ceases to exist for reasons that shouldn't be talked about, same case for Evildead. Supersloth I've had moments with in the past but we're over them now. I'm sure there has been plenty of others too.
Who is the biggest muppet in the Fed and why? Anyone who's read this far down in my interview. They really are bored.
Who makes you laugh in the Hattrick world? (either Fed conference or elsewhere) There are lots of people who make me laugh and I really can't start naming just a few. rugga has to be funniest of all, his posts are always entertaining even if they do push the boundaries of legality. Being a Mod I have to read alot of conferences. I hope that I make a few people laugh as well.
Favourite joke? Why are pirates so popular? They just arrrrrrr!
Do you have a favourite football chant that makes you laugh? The anti-Cardiff chants from the Swansea fans when I went to see the Swansea vs Bury game were quite entertaining.
What is your favourite Book? Da Vinci Code, one of the very few books I've read in recent years.
What is your favourite TV show? Deal or No Deal. How sad am I? Match of the Day when Spurs win makes good viewing too.
Do you play any other good online games? Freekick, Battrick, Popomundo. I need to get out more
Christina Aguilera or Britney Spears in nothing but a Spurs home shirt, you can only have one, who would it be? Christina at the moment. Britney has let herself go recently. A couple of years ago I'd have gone for Britney.
Best movie of the year? Not really seen many movies this year.
Best movie of all time? Matrix probably. Titanic would be a close second for naked Kate Winslet and watching Di Caprio drown *evil laugh*
What was the last album you bought? Good, bad, indifferent? Last album I bought would be Foo Fighters, In Your Honour. One of the CDs was quite good, wasn't too thrilled about the other. I've acquired other music since then but not bought it *looks angelic*
Favourite band of all time? I'm too young to remember some of the older stuff. Red Hot Chilli Peppers or Greenday would be more to my memory span.
Favourite album of all time? And on that note, probably RHCP's Greatest Hits. Did listen to that an awful lot when I got it. |
