Tottenham Hotspurs Federation THFC History 4th Anniversary
Today is the fourth anniversary of this federation. The federation was founded on the 20th August 2002. So well done to everyone for getting us this far. We currently have 329 members which is fantastic and a raise of approximately 80 on last year.
Firstly id like to say a big thank you to everyone that makes this federation work in particular that ones that spend additional time on the federation. Im talking about Danyul’s work with the fed cup and interviews, Foscotaner’s polls, Krafty’s previews and everyone else that adds anything however little. Yes you.
As people’s love with Hattrick begins to wane we see that feds become more and more important. Here in the THFC I like to think we have evolved from a fed into a real community, were as popular and active as weve ever been. We have even got some GM’s In here :s
So the fed cup continues to be a huge success year after year and its prestige is growing! In the last tournament mortemb lifted the trophy and in doing so, became the first manger to lift the trophy three times in the cup 12 season history. Winners of the cup over the past year have been;

Yes that’s not a misprint; Dwayne-mooney won the cup even though he is a serial line-up selection forgetter!

I said in last year’s anniversary post, how good it felt to finally become contenders and people predicting us European football. Well the boys didn’t let us down, we made Europe! We may have just missed out on the Champions league, but I felt incredibly proud to be a spurs fan. So we have sold Carrick for 18m to Manchester united, in my eyes that a fantastic piece of business, its shows that Levys still taking us forward, hes not silly and he doesn’t get mugged off.
The real part of the season that made this a memorable was the discovery of two legends at the lane. Aaron Lennon and Martin Jol. From the first moment I saw Aaron Lennon I knew we have something special and I think everyone else did too. For me it was one reason and one reason only, he was exciting. He’s an edge of the seat player. I just hoped he would live up to the initial excitement, looks like he has. Then there’s Martin Jol, yes he’s been here almost two seasons but it was this season that made him. He became the first manager to get us to Europe through league position since gods knows when. He also became the first manager in yonks that not only had a personality but had balls.

Tottenham Hotspurs Federation THFC History Part 2
Well one year on here we are again, much has changed. For this part of the on going history of the fed I am going to take you all back to the beginning, august 2002. The federation was created on the 20th august 2002, just 3 days after our first fixture of the season against Everton which finished 2-2. The first match which was played after the fed had started was a home game where Villa was visiting. We won that game 1-0 with a Redknapp goal, the THFC fed era was up and running. Let’s have a little look at the line up that afternoon.

What I find amazing is that the progression as a fed we have seen to our squad. Looking at these 16 players that played for us 3 years ago, it’s hard to imagine any of these players playing for spurs, as they just aren’t good enough. With the exception of Gardner, but I still don’t think he’s good enough. In the three years the teams been transformed from a squad of ageing has beans, into not only the youngest team in the league, but a team full of top class British players, which can only be good for the game.
Another thing that pleases me at the moment is that, people are tipping us for a European place come the end of the season. Other are predicting that we will finish 4th and collect a champions league place, the views of Gary Lineker no less!! We all know were optimistic and always think we can get the European place every season but something feels different. I remember years back using my optimistic views I told a friend who is a man u supporter that spurs would finish above them; it was the season Utd ran away with the title and won by about 20 points. We are optimistic but now we have reason.
Last year I spoke that the federation members had more than doubled throughout the space of 12 months, well we have achieved this once again. Last year at the time of our anniversary we had approximately 125 members; we now have in the region of 250, which is incredible.
The amazing increase is because of a few reasons. The fact that spurs are generally on the way up, has meant spurs fans want to get involved and follow our team more closely. Also the players we have signed have brought spurs fans to the fed from across the world. For example Ziegler and Tanio have brought fans from Switzerland and Finland respectively. We also had a mini surge of new members when the Hattrick gods allowed 4th and 5th federation slots to all supporters.
As always we have tried to offer as many extra’s to the fed as possible, with our most popular being the Fed cup. In the last year we have had 3 winners with a 4th to be crowned in a few weeks time. Winners added to the list are:
Season 23 Tommytuck
Season 24 Ldnfatso
Season 25 Mortenb
In season 23 Tommytuck retained his title, making him the only member to win the fed cup twice, plus in consecutive seasons.
The London cup continued over the last year, with tommytuck wining it once more. Then last season we had a change in the system and had an inter London tournament with West Ham and Arsenal, which was organised by John Simmons. Unfortunately, Vav Utd of West Ham was victorious.
The prediction league has also changed which can be found at http://www.pleague.co.uk we are ‘HT-THFC – Spurs’ you can still join; it just means you have missed opening fixtures. Other activities include The Premier League fantasy football.
Fed election became a first as Ldnfatso stepped down from his position as Vice- Chairman. A closely fought contest ended when Dwayne-Mooney edged out in front to beat Colin16 in the polls. Due to this we now have many more offices that everyone can apply for so if you want a different office, Dwayne-Mooney is your man. Must admit there’s been a few odd choice Ruel fox?
Inside the conference we have had a very busy 12 months, the conference is continuously filled with great threads of a variety of subjects. We continue to answer every thread for help and Hattrick advice with accurate and plentiful answers, which are great so if in doubt call on the THFC boys ASAP!!
The conference has also been literally filled with great polls every single week, thanks to Foscotanner for those, keep them coming. Danyul has been interviewing fed members each week for the past 3 months which have proved an interesting read, if you fancy getting in the spotlight get him a shout. Krafty-Kockney has also started interviewing fans of our opponents so we can get an insight into what our opponents really think of us and their chances.
I’d like to say a big thank you to Danyul for his commitment to the fed this season. Not content with efficiently running the fed cup and keeping every one involved and interested in it, he has also produced a great website for the fed as well, which can be found at www.spurs-fed.co.uk.
We have also seen quite a lot of changes to Hattrick in general over the past 12 months. Here’s a taster of some of the changes and features we have experienced.
New ratings were introduced and divine mids were a thing of the past
Hattrick expands by 200,000+ users inside 12 months.
Clubhouses came and then no one bother to update them.
The Hattrick server performance has been good in the last year, I’ve been happy with the lack of problems they have had.
Defence adjustment meant that defenders become more important than keepers. Also in general defence has become more important as well.
Spectator/fan club formula changed, for the worse. Filling arenas became a lot harder to achieve.
New training regime introduced– through passes, defensive positions
Guestbook’s became searchable, so you could easily find that old message from 3 years ago.
5 federations, was the major change of the year.
Sweden was over taken as the biggest HT-nation.
It is also possible to play at a neutral arena in friendlies.
There was also a whole host of stats for the geeks in us.
In a time when maybe my love for the actual game is getting less I can say that the fed has been a brilliant place, it feeds my addiction and makes me a more interested supporter of Tottenham Hotspurs. 3 years on and the conference is still the first place I look at when I turn the PC on and go on the net.
So keep making this one of the best conferences going and who knows we might make a 5th anniversary. Thanks THFC.

THFC History 20/08/2002-2004
Well here we are, two years since the federation started. What an achievement. Thanks people of the THFC. You made it happen.
The THFC was founded by myself, Teekosey. On the 20th of august 2002. That's 2 years ago.

When I started the federation, I had a cunning plan of getting
the 5 members to keep the fed afloat. I went on to the conference
(the old ones, anyone remember those) and posted a thread asking
everyone who there favourite team was. Well there were over a hundred
replies. I sourced out the yids and sent them HT mails asking if
they'd like to join my THFC federation. We went on to get the 5
members needed by the ended of the next day.
I can't remember who the exact original 5 were because people leave,
I would estimate if everyone that had joined hadn't left we would
have over 200 members by now.
For a vast percentage of the THFC's history we were a small fed,
2004 has been a massive year for us!! Just over 1 year ago we had
under 40 member. You will all probly know that there is another
federation for spurs fans run by a Swedish chap called Walker 961
which was 3 years old yesterday. When I originally started the fed
I didn't bother to look if there was any others, so didn't know
of it until a few weeks later. Just over a year ago Ldnfatso had
the idea to merge the federation, with the key idea of them moving
to us. They had roughly 100 members to our 35ish. Originally Walker
was up for it then suddenly changed his mind. The merge never did
go ahead, but because of the commotion it raise they lost a few
members to us, not sure who they were, but you made the right decision.
This then led to a stupid 14 day poll yes 14 day poll by Ldnfatso
about a merge, by this time I was not bothered about a merge, wont
deny I wanted a big fed because I did. The merge never happened
and never will. I am to blame solely for why it won't and some know
why.
There's been a lots of members thru the THFC doors, but id like
to speak for a second about a fella called Edkeung. Many, many of
you will not have heard of him because he left HT for personal reasons
about a year ago. Decent fella. Was an ambassador for the fed and
arguably the most successful manager we have ever had. He was the
Chinese prem champion. He gave me some great tips, and I thank him
for it. Maybe he is back in hattrick, I don't know but I sure hope
he returns someday. Genuis. Legend. HT visionary.
Theres also the drunken posts usually from me, when I used to live
in my flat (like it doesn't happen any more :o) there's been a few,
HT t-shirt anyone? Yes the ol drunken buys still continue on the
quiet, less about the brodie inaction clerks figure the better !
There's also the profanity, which is mainly from ldnfatso on a
daily basis, who has a filthy F***king tongue !!!
There was also the accusations on the fed chairman by john simmons
and halfp ?, maybe we should go into that now
The THFC federation cup was started in only our 2nd season in existence
and only 7 teams applied which meant someone received a
walkover in the quarter finals lol (might have been Mr old) Im losing
my marbles but I think there's been 5 cup with the current one the
6th, is that right?

Wasn't sure about first one im probly wrong.
The THFC fed cup was originally run solely by my self , I then
enlisted the help of Nick Morris, for help with a tables and drawing
of the cup. A few seasons back tables were handed over to Rogerhoddle.
So the cup became a team effort and runs a lot smoother
than it did in the first few seasons. Cheers lads.

The Inter – London was another venture I jointly undertook
with Dazman (to the initial disgust of Ldn I might add!!) The idea
was for the
winner of the THFC federation Cup to play the winner of the WHOA
(West Ham Online Association federation) cup to play each other.
The first one took place at the end of our 3 rd cup and Edkeung
lost to Vav utd over 2 legs. The nest season, Due to Whoa cup being
bigger it meant we could not play over two legs. So as winner of
the THFC I went and played away at The academy and won, bringing
the title home. Last season Tommytuck luckily won against me in
the fed final and then went on to play Winnies Wallies , he successfully
retained our title. Nice.
The THFC prediction league is run by Ldnfatso, where we all predict
on a real life spurs games and last the full season, so its ongoing
from sept til june? Ldn keeps track of everyones predictions and
also does a decent job running it, as its another time consuming
job. Last season was won by Teamdel, if I remember correctly. Well
done ldn, great job.

Let's have a time to talk about Tottenham here. That's the main
reason were here afterall !! We have our favourite players; we all
have dreams on how we want it to be at white hart lane. The conference
is what it's all about and we had some good times and some
bad. We've made right predictions on player and matches and also
very bad ones. I remember saying on the conference Rickets would
be great player if he had a chance, went on to be player of the
month for spurs in the first month of last season. Good on me.
There's also a lot I can say about spurs fans in general they do
indeed seem to be great people, I've meet some decent people in
our
federation and Im sure Im not the only one! Theres something about
spurs fans, im not sure what it is. We are full of dreams, we so
want to be the best, but we are willing to wait. We are unrealistic
and are always over exicited during the beging of the season. We
try not to be but we just are. We love the spurs.
As they say times are a changing, in the THFC, John simmons now
has the key to the doors and looks after all new comers to the fed.
He then introduces them to us via the conference. He's doing a great
job.
We also have a Poll Master, who is a boffin, so sign of good polls
look very promising. Admitably there's only been one so far. But
it

The THFC was one of my Hattrick baby's, and always my favourite
and is ultimately the most successful out of the bunch. My team,
THFC and HT-Issue. They have all received a lot of hard work, HTI
seems dead and buried now. But the feds alive and kicking !!!!
I wont lie this federation got me addicted to Hattrick full time.
Once I started puting in the effort with the fed and meeting people
on
here, and teaching each other, the fun started. I love HT as much
as I ever have. There's now over a 125 members and im proud of it
and I am proud of you guys, you are the life and soul of this fed
and lets hope it keeps going for a very long time.
